'FREE FIRE: The Battle of Egypt' is an official tournament by the game's developer Garena in cooperation with Egypt's Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Egyptian Federation of E-Sports, and they're offering up a huge EGP 500,000 pool, with prizes ranging from EGP 2,000 to EGP 75,000!
In the lead up to the main event they're hosting a number of online qualifier tournaments for players based in Cairo, Alexandria, or anywhere besides those two cities. These online events are available until August 12th, with registration ending on August 2nd. Winners of these matches will be eligible for offline qualifier matches in Cairo and Alexandria, with dates yet to be announced. Winners from the events outside Cairo and Alexandria will have a second round of online matches instead.
For the grand finals they're looking to gather 20 players from Cairo, 20 players from Alexandria and 10 from the second round of online qualifiers. All 50 players will participate in an epic Solo Battle Royale in a best of six format, duking it out for the grand prize!
