Students Refusing to Wear Masks Will Be Blocked From Entering Schools

To curb the impending second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Education has notified schools across the country to block all students over 12 years old from entering school grounds if they refuse to wear a face mask, effective immediately.

Students who violate the rule will be issued two warnings before being forbidden from entering the school completely, at which point they need to be accompanied by their parents or guardian, who will then be asked to sign a written declaration that the student will adhere to the mask rule. So if any of our younger readers are thinking of neglecting masks as a get-out-of-school-free card, we'd heavily advise against it.

The decision comes as part of the Coronavirus Crisis Management Committee's response from the beginning of November, which was written to keep schools and other such establishments open.
