Spain Comes to Egypt This June with The Nile Ritz-Carlton’s Tapas Festival

They say that the only way to truly experience a country is through their cuisine. So while we probably can’t jet off to Spain anytime soon, it seems like the Nile Ritz Carlton is bringing Spain to us by celebrating a cornerstone in the country's colourful food; Tapas. Flying in especially for the occasion is Michelin Starred Chef, Ruben Arnanz, who'll be treating diners with a spectacular Tapas Festival between the Tuesday 17th and Friday 21st of June, which also feature iconic dishes from culinary world of Spain.

Coming as part of a partnership with the Spanish Embassy in Cairo and in honour of World Tapas Day, the festival also aims to celebrate Spanish culture. Guests not only get to indulge in delicious Spanish bites but they also get to learn a thing or two from one of the field’s most respected professionals. Chef Arnanz, who is on of the youngest chefs to ever receive a Michelin Star at the age of 29, will also be hosting two cooking classes on the 18th and 19th at NOX. And because what’s the point of cooking if we’re not going to get a taste all of our hard work, the Nile Ritz will be serving us a rooftop lunch with a gorgeous of view of the Nile and Cairo Tower.

Don’t overdo it at lunch though, because the day doesn’t end there. Later in the evening Bar'Oro will be hosting a dinner-and-a-show, where chef Arnanz will prepare ten types of specialty Tapas.

Adding the cherry on top of a spectacular week, Friday will see Culina host a special Friday brunch that will feature a special Spanish corner offering tapas and live cooking stations - and then there's the unlimited Sangria.

With a book to his name, Ancha Es Castilla, which boasts of 120 recipes from Castilian Cuisine, Chef Arnanz has his fingers in many a pie; he runs his own food consulting group and has worked at several prominent restaurants worldwide. Having also started a culinary movement of his own to shed light on his region's cuisine, Chef Arnanz runs his own restaurant in Castilla, where he serves his specialty tapas.
