Schools Ordered to Be More Accessible to People with Disabilities

In an attempt to promote accessibility and inclusivity in Egypt’s schools, the Ministry of Education has announced that all schools in the country must allocate the ground floors of their building to students, teachers and administrators with disabilities, and create spaces for them to study and work there.

The ministry added that schools must work to provide them with all means of care, especially psychological, and to hold monthly meetings with them in the presence of all directors of the schools’ departments to stay up to date with their needs. The ministry encouraged schools to take any necessary measures to help staff and students with disabilities overcome any obstacles that may prevent them from achieving their highest potential.
