Saudi German Hospital Announces EGP 50 Billion Medical Projects Across Egypt

Vice President of the Saudi German Hospital Group (SGH), Makarem Al-Batterji, has announced the group is planning major new projects across Egypt that could reach up to EGP 50 billion in investment, according to Al Bors News.

Said investments are expected to unveil on several phases in different cities in Egypt, adding, Batterji said the group intends to build two new projects in Cairo, a hospital and a medical tower in Heliopolis, where SGH Cairo is located.

Said projects will reportedly be established over several phases in several cities, including a hospital and medical tower in Cairo. In Alexandria, meanwhile, SGH is set to establish Al-Batterji Medical City, an extensive complex that will include seven hospitals and a medical science and technology college that will cost EGP 8-10 billion.

"The Egyptian economy is doing great and the Egyptian market is quite attractive for investment," said Sobhy Al-Batterji, head of the Saudi German Hospitals Group, adding that there are plans to launch two additional medical cities.
