Regional Director of Meta Fares Akkad to Talk Web3 at EEA Talks

Regional Director for Meta MENA, Fares Akkad, has been announced as one of the speakers for EEA Talks, a new event by Egypt's Entrepreneur Awards, where he will join a lineup of industry leaders and inspirational speakers such as Robin Sharma, Amazon's Omar Elsahy, valU's Walid Hassouna and Swvl's Youssef Salem.

Taking place at St. Regis Cairo on June 10th, Fares Akkad will send EEA Talks off with a vision of the future: the Metaverse. As Meta's Regional Director, Akkad has led the commercial growth of the company and its portfolio across the region. Having joined in 2017 as head of media partnerships for Facebook and Instagram in the Middle East, Africa and Turkey, Akkad now helps oversee and communicate the potential of the Metaverse regionally.

Sitting front and centre of this digital revolution, Akkad's talk - titled 'Metaverse: A Vehicle of the Future' - will be a fireside chat hosted by Amy Mowafi, founding partner and CEO of MO4 Network. Throughout the talk, Akkad will offer a unique perspective of how the metaverse can reshape enterprises and redefine human experiences.
