Preparations Underway for Cairo University Dorms to be Turned into Quarantine Facility

As a response to the growing need for isolation spaces amidst the Coronavirus pandemic, Cairo University has made the decision to dedicate a section of its dorm facilities to become a COVID-19 quarantine quarter for Egyptian residents coming from abroad. '

Preparations are currently underway to equip the area with new mattresses and modern TVs with satellite channels. Cairo University spokesman Dr. Mohamed Alam El-Deen stressed that the quarantine facility will include  amenities such as a cafeteria that operates 24/7, a medical clinic with a doctor onsite at all times and continuous sterilisation services.
