Popular Cairo Parks Are Being Auctioned Under a Usufruct System

The Cairo Governorate has announced the availability of opportunities for development of various areas within several major parks in the capital city. These initiatives aim to “enhance the recreational and leisure offerings in Cairo, providing upgraded facilities and amenities for residents and visitors alike.”

Amongst the areas open for development is Orouba Park in Abbasiya, for which a 10-year development and usufruct right is being offered. Interested parties can participate in an auction by making a temporary deposit of EGP 1 million and purchasing the bidding document for EGP 2,000.

Similarly, the third corner of the International Park, overlooking Mu’nis al-Khadim Street and Bin Hazm Street, is also available for a 10-year development and usufruct right. The total area spans approximately 3,500 square metres, and the temporary deposit required for participation in the auction is EGP 100,000, with the bidding document priced at EGP 299.

Other opportunities include the development of padel tennis courts in the International Park in Nasr City, with a five-year usufruct right, and the operation of cafeterias in the same park for a period of five years. Additionally, three five-a-side football fields in different parks across Cairo are open for a five-year usufruct right.

The Cairo Governorate is also offering the opportunity to operate commercial stores in the Al Teraa Al Bolakia and electric golf carts in the Child's Park in Makram Ebeid.
