Nile Taxi Launches New Zamalek-Maadi Route

Launched in 2011, the Nile Taxi sought to provide a solution to Cairo's dire traffic situation by cutting the time it takes to get from Maadi's Yacht Club to central areas of the capital by more than half. It currently stops in several stations scattered across El Manyal, Tahrir, Giza, and Shobra, and recently announced establishing a new Maadi-Zamalek fixed route, with stations located in Garden City, Sofitel El Gezira, and the Opera House.

Rides on the Nile Taxi cost a figure between EGP 44 and EGP 68 per person, and it operates from 7 am to 7 pm every day except Friday, which is reserved for private bookings. It's also been recently announced that 4-passenger boats are being introduced to lessen wait time and make it even more convenient.
