Nasser Institute Hospital to Receive EGP 8 Billion Upgrade
The upgrades will include increasing the number of beds from 682 to 1200, the amelioration of the base infrastructure, and improving the efficiency of the hospital’s work cycle.
Over the last few months, the Ministry of Health and Population has been working on a plan to transform Nasser Institute Hospital into a full medical complex at a cost of EGP 8 billion.
The upgrades will include increasing the number of beds from 682 to 1200, the amelioration of the base infrastructure, and improving the efficiency of the hospital’s work cycle.
The new medical facility will have a helicopter pad and marine port to facilitate the transport of urgent care patients. They will add a multi-story parking lot as well, in order to accommodate around 550 cars.
The plan will also take advantage of the neighbouring building, acquired by the hospital a long time ago, and turn it into a private hospital with state of the art equipment. This new hospital will function as a source of income to fund the main institution.
