Ministry of Justice to Teach Its Employees Sign Language

Government employees who regularly work with people who are hard of hearing will be enrolled in a new training programme that will teach them sign language, in cooperation with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities and Germany’s Hanns Seidel Foundation. The programme will target employees at the Ministry of Justice who work in government offices, and will carry on until August 5th.

The Hanns Seidel Foundation engages in political education, creating programmes that teach government officials to engage with citizens with human dignity and tolerance. Named after a former Bavarian prime minister, the foundation has been crossing borders to spread political education around the globe since its establishment in 1967.
