Ministry of Interior Reduces Vehicle Licensing Fees

The Ministry of Interior released a statement that, moving forward, the price for the mandatory safety kit for vehicle licenses will be reduced from EGP 850 to EGP 160.

An essential step towards receiving your vehicle license is paying EGP 850 for a first aid kit, a triangle, and a fire extinguisher. Those three items make up the safety package that is necessary for most emergencies, and it’s mandatory to carry them in your trunk at all times according to Egypt’s traffic law. These items are all available for purchase inside and outside traffic units all over the country.
