Ministry of Health & Population Launches Free Hotline Service

Egyptian citizens can now get instant responses to medical inquiries and emergencies by contacting the Ministry of Health and Population’s new hotline at 15335. Recipients will be able to receive a text message with a list of relevant medical resources if they text ‘Nile’ (as well as نيل or النيل) to this number, including guidance on psychological support and emergency contact numbers.

The free service was launched by the Ministry of Health and Population in collaboration with UNICEF to streamline medical service inquiries across Egypt. Users of the new service will have access to a list of the nearest healthcare facilities, including all health units and medical centres in the vicinity. The hotline will also provide information on services and procedures related to women's health, children’s health and reproductive health.
