Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Israel Hinders Gaza Aid Not Egypt

Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, accused Israel of impeding aid entry into the Gaza Strip via the Rafah border crossing. He refuted any closure of the crossing by Egypt since October 7th.

Abu Zeid stated, "The Rafah Border crossing has been open and has not been closed at any stage since the beginning of the crisis in the Gaza Strip. The party hindering the entry of aid into the Gaza Strip is the Israeli side, through obstructive procedures, conditions, and baseless justifications."

Al Qahira News reported the departure of 600 Egyptians and foreign nationals from Gaza through this crossing. The Rafah crossing has become indispensable since the escalation of the genocidal war on Gaza, being the primary gateway for access and aid entry into the besieged city.
