Mansoura University Named the Best University in Egypt By Times Higher Education

What's the best university in Egypt? If you skipped past the image and the title, the answer may surprise you. Times Higher Education (THE) - a world-renowned higher education magazine based in the United Kingdom - released their World University Rankings, and in their list of Egyptian universities, they placed Mansoura University right at the top. Their university rankings are  considered one of the most trusted lists worldwide, on the same level as other lists like ‘QS World University Rankings ‘ and ‘Academic Ranking of World Universities.’

A university's placement on the list is based on a few categories: citations (that is to say, research influence, meaning the university’s role in imparting spreading knowledge worldwide), industry income (measuring the university’s ability to support industry in terms of innovation, inventions and consultancies) and international outlook (the universities’ ability to bring in students and faculty from across the world) are chief among them. The universities’ quality of research and teaching are also considerations into the ranking.

Second and third on the list of the best universities in Egypt are Aswan University and Suez Canal University respectively, followed by AUC and Kafr El Sheikh University. You can find all of this is under THE’s rankings for universities in ‘emerging economies.’
