MIP Participates in Panel With Stefano Boeri Architetti at COP27

Misr Italia Properties participated in a panel on green urban planning with renowned Italian architect, Stefano Boeri, at COP27.

The COP27 UN Climate Change Conference is an opportunity for governments and industry leaders to band together and tackle the seemingly insurmountable issue of climate change. Doing its part to highlight the promises of climate action, Misr Italia Properties (MIP) is kicking off its participation in COP27 at the Italian Pavilion in the Blue Zone, where prestigious Italian architectural firm Stefano Boeri Archtetti (SBA) and the Italian Ministry of Environment led a panel titled 'The Importance of Green and Sustainable Urban Planning Towards Climate Change'.

Renowned Italian architect and Founder of SBA, Stefano Boeri, was joined by CEO and Managing Director of MIP Mohamed Khaled El Assal, Director at SBA Hana Narvaez, Head of Communication at SBA M. Lucrezia De Marco, and Founder and CEO of Impact One Mikolaj Sekutowicz, to highlight the role of the private sector to support sustainability through developing real estate projects, as well as the integration of stakeholders in the transition to green cities. MIP has long signalled their commitment to sustainability through their partnership with SBA, having put together a number of projects that promote sustainability and cut down on waste through unique value propositions.

IL Bosco City - New Cairo is one such project; as the first '15-Minute City' in Egypt, IL Bosco City is designed to be so accessible that everything would only be 15 minutes away from any given home, which in turn allows people to eliminate time, energy and fuel that would otherwise be wasted on their commute, and live more fulfilling lives instead.

They have also worked together on the Vertical Forest in IL Bosco New Capital, a first-of-its-kind project spanning four acres of forest over three buildings, with 570 trees that will be able to absorb seven tons of carbon dioxide a year, and produce eight tons of oxygen in that time.
