Luxor to Launch Medical Tourism Programme Ahead of Rams Road Reopening

The General Authority of Healthcare in Egypt is promoting the largest medical tourism programme to date for hospitals in Luxor. Set to launch alongside World Cities Day, as well as the grand reopening of the Rams Road, an avenue of sphinxes between the recently restored Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, the medical tourism programme hopes to send out a message to the world: in Egypt, you’re taken care of.

The authority signed a cooperation protocol with one of the world’s leading national medical tourism companies, so that the medical tourism programme could be implemented with regulatory mechanisms based on international standards. At the same time, Luxor is working on introducing air and river ambulance services for critical cases in need of express transportation.
