Izbit Al-Haggana Will Be Renamed 'City of Hope'

The previously-underserved neighbourhood of Izbit al-Haggana will be renamed 'Medina al-Amal' to reflect the Egyptian state's plans for improvements in the area.

Cairo's Izbit al-Haggana neighbourhood will be renamed 'Medina al-Amal', or 'City of Hope', to reflect the Egyptian state's plans for improvements in the area, particularly after the construction of the 'Hope and Loyalty' axis road there. At a total length of 8 KM, with 2 KM passing through Izbit al-Haggana, the axis road will connect Nasr City to Suez Road and the Ring Road.
