Island Living

Egypt's first off-shore recreational hub, Pearl Island is opening this weekend at Marina on the North Coast and we're looking forward to a sizzling summer there.

The long-awaited Pearl Island and Aruba Beach are opening this weekend in Marina and we're pretty excited to visit the first resort of its kind in Egypt, if only to live out our Cast Away dreams. Unlike Cast Away, however, Pearl Island is chock-full of things to do, places to eat and people to meet. Actually, there are so many things to choose from that we are starting to get seasick just thinking about it! Located at Marina Gate 7, the private Aruba Beach mixes both lush, green areas with white sands. Take a walk down the pier and you'll be on Pearl Island, a floating haven rivalling Dubai's The Palm, and the perfect family retreat for a unique summer. There are several play areas for kids, water sports including jet skis, donut boats, banana boats and more, and expert bar tenders, mixing up cool cocktails and magnificent mocktails to keep you hydrated and replenished in the summer heat. The grand opening, this Friday 21st June, DJ Ramy Zarif will be setting the summer mood spinning the best songs of the season all day long - don't worry though, this isn't going to turn into some rave. Pearl Island is, first and foremost, a family destination, and celebrated singers Onsy and Nataly will be performing long into the night, with their renditions of classic hits.

Membership for both Aruba Beach and Pearl Island is only 1000 LE a month but if you’re not planning on spending an entire month on the beach, we feel sorry for you, but you can still enjoy the gorgeous getaway for 150 LE for daytime entry and 50 LE for nightime entry. With all the fun you’re having you’ll want a cool place to wind down at night. The floating lounge lights up when the sun goes down and you can dine, have a coffee, or sip on your favourite drinks all night long. There really is nothing like it in Egypt today, and it’s one you really shouldn’t miss out on.
