Hani Shaker Joins Samira Said as a Judge on ‘The Voice Senior’

For the first time in the Middle East, a talent competition show for people aged 60 and above is about to hit the small screen clad with a star-studded judge panel. The show has announced Egyptian singer and head of the Musicians Syndicate Hani Shaker as part of the judging panel, along with Moroccan pop icon Samira Said.


The Voice Senior is back in action after having been delayed a number of times due to the crisis in Lebanon, where the show will be filmed. Now, with the judging panel fully announced, shooting will officially begin in the first week of October.


Based on the original The Voice, this senior version joins The Voice Kids among the show’s spinoff productions on MBC.
