Global Shortage of Coffee Leaves Egypt With Only Three Months' Supply

With coffee being so central to Egyptian culture, some may be alarmed to learn that Egypt’s current supply of coffee will only sustain its caffeine-frantic people for the next three and a half months, according to the Head of the Coffee Division at Cairo's Chamber of Commerce.

Brazil is the largest coffee exporter in the world. Yet as a result of the effects of climate change, the nation has experienced a cold spell that affected its crops. Likewise, drought has cut coffee crops in Vietnam by a significant degree. These developments have resulted in an international coffee shortage, which may last for years.
