From Factory to Your Doorstep, The Factory Makes International Quality Kids Clothes

What do you do when you're sick of the retail grind to find clothes that are ten times more expensive than their quality warrants, and you just so happen to own a factory? Founded by electronics engineer Sherif Mourad and his wife and partner Dina Fouad, the couple turned Mourad’s family textile business into a new and improved brainchild brand, THE FACTORY. His family business, which manufactured for huge international labels including Bershka and Stradivarius, had all the capacity and quality to produce products of a high calibre - and the couple was more than willing to use it to settle a gripe shared by many.

“We got married eight years ago and had kids right after, and we found it difficult to shop for our kids here," Fouad told CairoScene. "It’s very expensive here and not the best quality, especially since kids need new clothes every year. As parents we felt there was a need for it.”

THE FACTORY has been able to kickstart a children's line using simple and adorable designs at international standards, but that isn’t all the brand hopes to achieve.

“In the future, as we scale up, we’re hoping to venture into men's and women's wear including all basics and essentials for the whole family," Fouad said.
