Flynas is First Saudi Airline to Become Member of UNWTO

Low-cost Saudi airline Flynas has become the first airline from the kingdom to join the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) as an affiliate member, as well as the first low-cost airline in the MENA region to do so.

Affiliate members of the UNWTO include over 500 companies, non governmental institutions and education and research organisations. The members all take part in decision making processes to foster a more sustainable global future of tourism.

Flynas participated in the UN Global Compact initiative last August, becoming the first low cost airline in MENA to join in the largest corporate sustainability project in the world. Saudi Arabia has also been reelected by the UNWTO as chair of the executive council for 2024, and has been chosen to host the 26th session of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in 2025.
