Sep 24, 2018
In a spot of environmental news this fine Monday evening, Egypt’s Ministry of Environment set out to spruce up the Red Sea Governorate’s Wadi El Gemal National Park, in an effort to protect and maintain the country’s biodiversity.
The campaign was launched in cooperation with local entities the likes of Abnaa al-Ababdah, the Tourism and Environment Association, as well as members from Wadi El Gemal’s diving centre.
Participants in the campaign went on to clean the park of plastic bags and rubbish, eventually transferring them to Marsa Alam’s public dump for further processing.
