El Sewedy Education and E4Impact to Launch New Centre for Entrepreneurs

Focusing on the importance of fuelling and supporting Egypt’s bright-minded and driven entrepreneurs, the Sewedy Foundation has joined forces with Italian impact entrepreneurship initiative E4Impact, signing a partnership to enhance collaboration between the Egyptian and Italian ecosystems. The centrepiece of the partnership will be a centre to support Egypt's booming startup scene.

The centre will focus on training, incubation and general development of entrepreneurial skills. Following the incubation phase, startups will have the chance to find investment opportunities, armed with the necessary skills to deal with the ecosystem's challenges.

The signing ceremony took place between Ihab Salama, CEO of El Sewedy Education, along with Professor Mario Molteni, CEO of E4Impact Foundation. In attendance were Ahmed El Sewedy, founder and chairman of El Sewedy Education, and H.E. Giampaolo Cantini, Italian Ambassador to Egypt, who commented on the centre’s myriad foreseen benefits to startups.

During the ceremony, Professor Moltini commented on the Milan-based foundation’s efforts in connecting entrepreneurs to coaches and mentors, truly empowering them with the skill set to thrive. E4Impact Foundation's substantial experience fits perfectly with El Sewedy Education's broader vision of promoting entrepreneurship using advanced technologies: through internet-enabled solutions, E4Impact Foundation provides training and development courses for startups in more than 13 African countries, with over 1000 entrepreneurs trained so far.

Pivoting on both organizations' wealth of experience and knowledge, the partnership will make strides in advancing bilateral relations between Egypt and Italy’s startup communities. The centre has the potential to serve as an incredible resource and hub, providing sustainable support for both rising and aspiring entrepreneurs.

The partnership's first project is a series of events, to be launched on April 22nd, entitled “Young Talents - Entrepreneurship Day,” organized by El Sewedy Education, the Italian Embassy in Cairo, E4Impact and Fekretak Sherketak, in partnership with AlexBank and E7kky. The events will provide workshops, mentoring and networking opportunities, as well as talks by influential figures in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Entrepreneurs will also get the opportunity to pitch their ideas at the first incubation cycle by El Sewedy Education and E4Impact in Egypt, due to launch this year.
