Eight DJs, Four Teams, One Winner: Ballantine's Back2Back Returns to Sahel

In what's shaping up to be one of the hottest event series of an already sizzling summer in Sahel, Ballantine's Scotch Whisky is set to hit the North Coast for another edition Ballantine's Back2Back after last year's success. The concept is simple: Eight DJs, paired into teams of two, will be competing at one of the summer's newest venues, Ivory, for a prize trip as VIP guests to an upcoming Boiler Room event. Over the last four years, Ballantine’s has partnered with Boiler Room, the world’s biggest broadcaster of new underground music, with a simple mission: to showcase and celebrate the extraordinary stories from the music scenes around the world.

This movement is dedicated to…well, to make you move, yes…but also to taking a stand in the name of True Music.

“True Music is music born from passion, not compromise. We’ve got some exciting plans in the works to promote fearless producers and underground artists, progress the careers of True Music artists and protect venues and music communities to move forward with music. Together.”

Round 1 is right around the corner and is sooner than you think. On the 3rd of August, Shiha will be playing Back2Back with Ouzo against. Azaar Back2Back with Akladios - you get the gist of it. Round 2, on the 14th of August, will feature Abou Samra and Shady Ezz against Shawky and Fayek, with the winning pair from each round battling each other in the grand finale on the 22nd of August.

In last year’s edition, popular duo A-Squared and rising talent Jimmy won a trip to Boiler Room Moscow - and YOUR votes did that. Yes, the crowd gets to decide.

Cherry on top? Anyone showing up with Ballantine's bottles will pay NO bouchon!
