Egyptian Butcher Was Found Using a Pharaonic Era Stone to Cut Meat

An Egyptian archaeologist spotted a 3,000-year-old Pharaonic era stone at a butcher’s shop while passing through El Mahalla El Kubra - a city that used to be the capital of Egypt under the 30th dynasty, Al Arabiya reported. The stone, which is believed to date back to the 30th dynasty, was unknowingly used for cutting meat on when the archeologist found it.

As Egyptian authorities were notified, the stone was removed immediately and is set to be transferred to a museum in Behbeit el-Hagar, an archaeological site in Lower Egypt that also holds the Isis temple. The stone will be examined to determine its archeological value.
