EgyptAir Cargo Plane Lands in Milan with One Million Medical Masks

An EgyptAir plane has landed in Milan Malpensa Airport in Italy, after Egypt filled the cargo aircraft with over one million medical masks to help the Mediterranean nation fight the looming COVID-19 pandemic. Out of the thousands of deaths that the Coronavirus has caused worldwide, Italy bore the brunt of 36.6% of those losses.

Egypt announced the temporary halt of export of preventative medical supplies such as masks and disinfectants. In the wake of the dangerous situation Italy faces, and which does not seem to be slowing down even after forced quarantine, an exception seems to have been made in order to help keep the struggling European nation on its feet.
