Egypt’s First Electric Car ‘Nasr E70’ To Start Production Mid-2022

Egypt’s first locally produced electric car is on its way, along with 3,000 of the charging stations needed to power them. Production of the fully electric ‘Nasr E70' car will begin mid-2022, while the placement of the public charging stations for electric cars is currently being planned out for the Giza governorate. Plans for Cairo, Alexandria and Qalyubia are all expected to be drawn up shortly afterwards.

The fully charged car battery will take you 400 kilometres before it needs another charging session. Public Business Sector Minister Hisham Tawfik announced that there will be three types of charger for the vehicle, with the fastest being able to charge a car in 30-to-40 minutes, while the slowest - a household charger - will have your car ready in 6-to-7 hours.
