Egypt Spot Secured for Showjumping at 2020 Olympics
We've got high hopes!
Egypt have secured their spot in showjumping at next year's Olympic Games, after winning the Nations Cup in Morocco yesterday. The team of Nayel Nassar, Abdel Said, Sameh El-Dahan and Mohamed Zeyada won the cup in the CSIO4*-W tournament held in Rabat.
Rider Nayel Nassar came in first with his horse Lucifer V, with Abdel Said coming in second with horse Venise Du Reverdy, followed by Sameh El-Dahan with Suma's Zorro ranked third, and coming in fourth was Mohamed Zeyada and Vizalaty.
This win results in Egypt qualifying for participation in the 2020 Olympics. The 2016 games saw Egypt's best performance in showjumping with rider Karim El-Zoghby as the star, ranking 40th in the individual competition with his horse Amelia.
