Egypt Offers Scholarships for Teachers to Train in Japan

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has collaborated with the government of Japan to give Egyptian teachers a special opportunity: to get a scholarship that will allow them to fly to Japan and receive special training as teachers. The training programme will run from October 2021 to March 2023, and will take place at Japanese universities engaged in research on school education.

Teachers who have earned this scholarship will have their tuition and flight fully paid for by the Japanese government, with a cash allowance of 143,000 Yen per month (that's about USD 1,360, or roughly EGP 21,400).

Applicants must only have an Egyptian nationality (which excludes people with dual nationalities), and can't be any older than 35 years old. They must have already graduated with a teaching degree, possess a health certificate, and demonstrate a desire to learn the Japanese language, as the programme will be conducted in either Japanese or English.
