Egypt Offers Cash Incentives for Buying Natural Gas Cars
In a bid to convert many of the country's drivers from petroleum to a comparatively cleaner and cheaper form of fuel, the Egyptian government has approved a plan to offer new incentives for Egyptians who buy a car that runs on natural gas. Buyers will get a 10% incentive based off the price of the vehicle, with an upper limit of EGP 22,000. Taxi drivers will be eligible for a 20% incentive, with an upper limit of EGP 45,000, while microbusses can receive 25%, with a limit of EGP 65,000.
