Egypt Launches Biggest Aid Convoy in Middle East to Support 300 Villages in Fighting COVID-19

Under the ‘Tahya Misr’ fund and as part of the third phase of the ‘Natasharak…Han’adi El Azma’ initiative, Egypt has launched the biggest aid convoy in the Middle East region. As announced by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly yesterday, Saturday May 16th, the aid convoy will support 300 villages from 16 different governorates across Egypt in combating COVID-19 by distributing around 300,000 boxes of supplies. The contents include hundreds of tonnes of medical and protective equipment, in addition to food, clothing and other necessities.

This initiative will be supported by all state institutions, civil society organisations and the private sector under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s urging for all work sectors to be unified in the fight against the Coronavirus.
