Egypt Gears Up for the Dubai Expo 2020

Dubai’s Expo 2020 would have been the first-ever world expo to be held in the MENA region, bringing together nations from all over the world to celebrate culture, innovation and global collaboration. That is, until the Coronavirus forced it to postpone from its original October 2020 date. But now that it has been properly rescheduled to take place between October 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2022, countries have begun planning for their participation in the Expo 2020 (it's keeping the name), and Egypt is right there with them.

Currently, Egypt is gearing up to participate with its own pavilion, aiming to cement the country’s role as a wholly important touristic and archaeological destination. To that end, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is planning on a temporary exhibition at Expo 2020, which will showcase a selection of Egyptian antiquities. The Egyptian Pavilion will play host to a digital exhibition displaying various historical monuments, in addition to archaeological and touristic sites. The Egyptian Pavilion’s content will be designed to shed light on Egypt’s potential, using the country's rich past to highlight its present achievements and its hopes for the future.
