Egypt Taking Centre Stage in New X-Men Movie

Today our favourite social media platform, aka Instagram, gave us another golden nugget of information as Bryan Singer, director of the upcoming 2016 X-Men: Apocalypse, posted a photo showing one of movie’s most iconic characters, Storm, looking over OUR VERY OWN PYRAMIDS. Yes, we will get ludicrously excited every single time any part of Egypt is featured in any international blockbuster. Awya masr om el donya. Anyway, aside from the fact that Alexandra Shipp has replaced Halle Berry as the gatherer and distributor of lighting, which makes us sad because Halle Berry is a goddess and X-Men will never be the same without her, we can easily overlook this if they include the pyramids in their movie. Thanks Bryan.

However, the pyramids might not just be featured in passing in the film; it's very likely they may take centre stage. According to the comics, and the post-credit sequence in the last X-Men movie, Apocalypse will be the titular villain. He’s one of the very first mutants in existence and he’s Egyptian, and in the final few seconds of the last film, he appears using telekinesis to build a pyramid in front of a crowd. And the whole movie is basically named after him so our only question now is...will Sisi be in the film? Please, pretty please, Bryan.
