Egypt Announces Establishment of 'World's Largest Arts and Culture City' in New Capital

Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, has announced that as part of a new push to develop the cultural sector, the world’s largest arts and culture city is to be established at the New Administrative Capital.

During the National Youth Conference on the 30th and 31st of July, Al Sisi revealed That 127 acres will be dedicated to theatres, exhibition halls, libraries, museums, and galleries for traditional and contemporary arts in the fields of music, painting, sculpture and handicrafts.

The news comes in light of one of the biggest cultural projects in Egyptian history, The Grand Egyptian Museum, which is set to open next year, also part of a new focus of cultural and touristic development.
