E-Scooters & Bikes to Be Made Available at COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh

Between its electric buses and green regulations, Sharm El Sheikh is setting itself up to be one of the most sustainable destinations in Egypt - especially since it’s hosting the COP27 United Nations Climate Change Conference this November. With the help of Rabbit, an Egyptian app that rents out bikes and scooters, the resort town is giving us more options than ever for sustainable transport.

During the course of the conference, Rabbit’s army of up to 200 electric bikes and scooters will be available to the visitors, allowing them to wheel about between events at the conference, or towards Sharm El Sheikh’s nature reserves.

Rabbit is currently available in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Mansoura and the North Coast, providing Egyptians with an ecofriendly way to get around their neighbourhoods. Through the app, you can either find the nearest scooter or bike and unlock it with a QR code on your phone to use until you're done with your errand, or you can have your ride delivered to you overnight to use for at least two days.
