Digital Upgrades to Be Applied to Egypt's Public Universities

Egypt is implementing an EGP 7.35 billion digitized infrastructure and information system at all of its public universities, technical institutes, research centres and university hospitals. The new system will encompass a handful of efficiency-driven projects including e-learning systems, automated tests, university hospital automation and an international student portal.

Various Egyptian universities signed a cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Information Technology Institute to establish the Digital Egypt Creativity Center, dedicated to developing the skills of young students and graduates. This centre will equip students with the tools necessary to flourish in local and global labour markets, specifically related to information technology and entrepreneurships. This push towards digital transformation looks to increase the efficiency of university information infrastructures and streamline the shift towards smart campuses.
