With two long weekends on their way, our wallets are bound to be  slender size zeros following the inevitable three-day benders, of which we’ll remember nothing. We’ll also be very hung over and dying for a good meal to caress our whiskey-lined stomachs. Luckily, we found just the people to help us out in that painful first day back at work. Say hello to The Kitchen, a cost-effective, delivery-only service with the quality of a high-end restaurant and the quantities of a family gathering. “We wanted to create something diverse, inexpensive and exquisite, so we decided to bring your mamma's food straight to your door,” says Mohamed Elwy, one of the co-founders of the mouth-watering idea, alongside Karim ElGeuoshy.

Whether you feel like a succulent steak, pasta slathered in fresh pesto or just some good old chicken pane, they make everything fresh using fine ingredients from gourmet cuts of beef to hand-picked vegetables. “You can’t find a decent 200g steak without paying a fortune. At The Kitchen you’ll get the same steak at a bargain price. In fact you can get a four course meal for less than 100LE,” says Elwy, which is exactly what we want to hear. They've even got some celebrity fans, with the likes of Hany Ramzi ordering regularly.
