CairoScene Leads Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Panel at COP27
The panel will led by our MO4 Network co-founder and CEO, Amy Mowafi, this November 17th at the COP27 Green Zone.

Since its inception, CairoScene has spotlighted and supported so many of the country’s sustainable startups, telling their stories in ways that are meaningful and impactful, and that can help them overcome many of the inherent challenges faced when building an eco-conscious brand in an emerging market such as Egypt.
So with the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference COP27 in full swing in Sharm El Sheikh, CairoScene will be hosting a panel led by our Mo4network co-founder and CEO Amy Mowafi about what it takes to build a sustainable brand. The inspiring panellists will include: Norshek Fawzy, co-founder of social enterprise Al Nayzak, through which the popular sustainable self-care brand Norshek was launched. Yara Yassin, co-founder of Upfuse, a Cairo-based eco-conscious social enterprise that encourages sustainable living by upcycling plastic and using it to produce bags and other fashion accessories. Mohamed Elewa, Campaign Coordinator for Ministry of Environoment, National Project Manager for Mainstreaming Biodiversity in Tourism at the UNDP, and founder of Eco Egypt, an initiative to promote ecotourism in Egypt. Juliana Carmona, Colombian architect and co-founder of Egyptian sustainable furniture company Mubun Furniture, which specialises in upcycling scrap waste into luxury, high-end eco-friendly furniture.
The session will be this Thursday, November17th, at Hall A in the #COP27GreenZone from 1-2 PM.
