Cairo's 'Fustat Hills Park' Will Be Biggest in the Middle East

Egypt is currently laying the foundations for the establishment of the Fustat Hills Park, which will stretch out over ​​500 acres in the heart of Old Cairo.

It’s the home of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. It contains the Ain El-Sira Lake, and overlooks the Religious Complex which contains some of Cairo’s oldest religious sites. And soon, the park in Fustat may become the largest of its kind in the Middle East. Egypt is currently laying the foundations for the establishment of the Fustat Hills Park, which will stretch out over ​​500 acres in the heart of Old Cairo.


Along with the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Fustat Hills Park will have a number of activities that puts the focus on Egyptian heritage, with specific areas designed to showcase and honour the interweaving lattice of Egypt’s history, whether it’s Pharaonic, Coptic, Islamic or contemporary. 


Taking advantage of the large swathes of open air and greenery, the park is planned to host cultural and commercial activities, hotel services, and open theatres, as well as heritage garden areas, an adventure area, and an entertainment centre.
