Cairo is Apparently Getting a Mail Museum

Egypt is getting its own postal service museum? Weird flex, but okay. Issam Al-Sagheer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Postal Authority (phew, that was a mouthful) said that the post office in Attaba is getting currently undergoing a glow-up so it can be converted into a historical museum that exhibits the long and glorious history of the postal authority. Mailmen and fans, who’s excited?

As a result, all postal employees have been moved to Smart Village, Ramses, and other offices around the city as the prepatory work gets completed. In relevant side news, the national post rolled up its sleeves big time in 2019, ending the year with a LE1.4 billion surplus (yes, you read that right). So, who’s adding this landmark to their bucket list? We for one, are probably not.
