COVID-19 Vaccine to Be Made Immediately Available to 200 Million Egyptians Upon Release

Following a seemingly endless saga of questions and anxiety surrounding the plausibility and availability of a successful COVID-19 vaccine in Egypt, news pertaining to the upcoming COVID-19 vaccination – currently in its third phase of clinical tests - some much-needed reassurance. The presidential advisor for health affairs – Dr. Mohamed Awad El-Din has just announced that 20% of Egyptians will receive the COVID-19 vaccination as soon as it’s ready.

Priority will go towards elderly people, pregnant women and healthcare professionals. They will also prioritize people who suffer from chronic illnesses, chest and heart diseases, or most forms of immunodeficiency.
