Breaking: EgyptAir Flight MS 804 Black Box Finally Retrieved

It seems as though the mystery behind what brought down EgyptAir flight MS804 might finally be solved, as news emerges that Egypt’s investigation committee have announced they have found the cockpit voice recorder aka the black box and retrieved it from the Mediterranean Sea.

According to the Associated Press, the committee behind the investigation have mentioned that the black box has been damaged, but the investigators managed to safely retrieve the "memory unit which is the most important in the recorder."

The recovery comes just in the nick of time, as investigators have been searching since May 19th and feared the flight recorder would stop emitting signals around June 24th. Concluding what brought down the plane at the moment would be premature, as for weeks media has gone back and forth on whether this was a terrorist event or mechanical failure. Hopefully the retrieval of the black box will shed light once and for all on what happened to EgyptAir flight MS804, while bringing closure for the families of the 66 who lost their life on the doomed flight.

We will update this story when black box findings are released.
