Art of Seeing Centre Hosts Photography Workshop for Kids

They always say that the best way to nurture a talent or skill is to practise from a young age, and embracing that completely is the Art of Seeing Center, who are holding a special one-day photography workshop for kids aged 7 to 12 on Thursday, 5th of March, from 6PM to 9PM. The workshop aims to make the most out of children’s amazing imaginations, and sees the potential of photography to translate that imagination by capturing snapshots of the world around them.

The workshop is envisioned as a tool to help kids develop their creative thinking and process, and introduces them to the medium of photography by teaching them how to use simple cameras and basic tools. It will also cultivate a general appreciation of art within them, and teaches them how to work in teams and critique each other’s work in a constructive way. The class will be taught in both English and Arabic, and the Center notes that no particular camera is needed and that kids can use their phone cameras.
