The Middle East's favourite streaming app is teaming up with their new telecom homies, which is good news for music lovers on the network.
If you have the Anghami application on your phone you may have noticed last week that the icon and user interface turned all red. It wasn't an intern graphic designer mistake, they were warmly welcoming Vodafone into its arms.
“Vodafone had previous experience with their music streaming but needed a new update to meet new consumer listening trends and demands," Anghami Vice President of North Africa, Hossam El Gamal, said. "With everyone using popular streaming platforms like Anghami, it was time to get innovative.”
The new agreement means Vodafone and Anghami users can now get free or discounted access to special online in-app concerts featuring some of the Middle East's biggest artists. Users can also choose their own ringback tone from Anghami's library of music with one tap, and get new music exclusively before anyone else.
To celebrate the launch of the new service, Vodafone users will be able to stream Amr Diab's latest album - including songs like ‘Ya Baladna Ya 7elwa’, ‘Malak Ghayran’ and ‘Amaken Sahar’ - at least two weeks ahead of everyone else, directly from their phones! Each song will cost EGP 1.5, and they can be added to their favourite playlists for free.
