Alchemy Shivers

The theme behind Alchemy is the quest to find or create the fabled Philosopher’s Stone; the rock that turns cheap metals into gold. You may have heard of this mystical stone from Harry Potter and knmow that Nicholas Flammel, the creator of Philosopher’s Stone, gained immortality from this pretty special piece of rock. Alchemy plays on this theme as their ‘Chemists’ combine the ‘elements’ to make food and drinks that will satisfy even the fussiest of palates. And, boy, is it satisfying. The exquisite food they make has something for everyone. Their lighter dishes (Apprentice Bites) are perfect post-work snacks. For 30 LE you can order dainty dishes of vol-au-vents with chicken cream filling, or sumptuous mushroom caps stuffed with beef bacon and parmesan cheese. If you’re looking for a filling meal, look no further than their ‘Golden Fantasies’ menu where you can order anything from perfectly cooked salmon to a big, fat, juicy steak, cooked to your preference.

One thing that makes Alchemy really stand out from the crowd is their range of drinks. They add their own magical twist to drinks from their ‘Potions’ and ‘Molecular Madness’ menus, with a ‘Pure Minds’ option for those of you less-alcoholically inclined. Added to this, once a week they run a special menu night, dedicated to a certain type of cuisine, and every Thursday they treat us with a dedicated drinks night. Their Tequila Tale evening, where various types of tequila were served in phials and beakers, was an enormous success, while their Margarita Fiesta brought all the boys (and the girls) to the yard, packing the venue out with sippers and swingers. This Thursday it’s Shiver where Alchemy will be turning down the heat and heading sub-zero with a chilled night dedicated to vodka. Catch the Alchemists in action as they mix up some of the best vodka combinations known to mankind to warm you up from the inside out. We are seriously looking forward to this event, as Alchemy never fail to impress and neither does vodka.
