Ahmed Mekky's 'El Kabeer Awy' is Coming Back in Ramadan 2022

After a four-year hiatus, Ahmed Mekky is bringing his popular comedy series ‘El Kabeer Awy’ out for a glorious sixth season comeback in Ramadan 2022.

Filming on the new season has already begun, with a handful of the show’s most beloved characters and cast members - including Bayoumi Fouad, Hisham Ismail and Mohamed Salam - joining Mekky in the fictional village of Al-Mazarita.

Although it was due to be released last Ramadan, Ahmed Mekky switched out his absurdly oversized mustache for a more solemn uniform, embodying the role of Officer Youssef el Refai in the military drama ‘El Ekhtiyar 2’.
