70 KM Bicycle Lanes Have Been Built in Madinah Municipality

Cyclists are about to glide through Madinah a little more smoothly now that the Madinah Municipality announced the completion of 70 kilometres of bicycle paths, which were built all along the main roads and inside residential neighbourhoods over the course of the past year.

The bike paths hope to improve quality of life as part of the 'Humanization of the City' program, with plans to expand the network further by 220 kilometres by the end of 2025 to include 33 major sites across Madinah.

Madinah has more than 165 bicycle and scooter stations thanks to the Careem Bike service, which covers most neighbourhoods and destinations, enabling residents and tourists to rent out a bike or scooter to navigate the city and check out its historical sites and attractions.
