Upper Egypt's Largest Postal Services Centre to Be Built in Aswan

The project is part of the Postal Authority for Engineering Affairs’ plan to develop 4,000 post offices across Egypt to service over 23 million citizens.

Upper Egypt’s largest postal service centre is currently undergoing construction on Aswan’s Nile Corniche. The 1300 square metre centre will double the total service capacity, expanding from 17 to 30 windows, and will implement digitization with a new electronic payment system.

The centre’s design will use a traditional Aswan architectural style and capture the governorate’s visual identity, and will include garages to decongest traffic in one of Aswan’s busiest neighbourhoods.

The project is part of the Postal Authority for Engineering Affairs’ plan to develop 4,000 post offices across Egypt to service over 23 million citizens. Around 2,000 post offices have been completed so far. The regional post centre in Aswan is their first project in Upper Egypt, and will be situated to garner further cooperation with the Nile Basin countries and Africa on a broader level.
